c36 m104 noise

hi i was out the other nite and the hose for the rad from botton right of rad to temp stat underneath rubbed of the powersteering pully and i had a leak only found out when i got home but on the way i heard a squeak which got faster the faster i went also the water light just came on about 100 yards from door so i drove in and parked up

in the morning i opened the bonnet to find low on water and leaking hose

i fixed the hose and filled the water up

but i still have squeak it sound like its the water pump to me if i spray grease on the shaft it quiets up for a small while but i can hear what i think is bearings their is also a hiss like bearing rolling weard noise but when the noise returns its a squeak




any ideas

I'm not an expert on the C36 as I have a C180, but my water pump suddenly stopped working and caused the belt to snap. If you have an inkling that it is the water pump I would replace it rather than chance your engine overheating due to the fan belt breaking.

water pump looks ok and engine is not overheating when driven

has me puzzled a bit

Any lights illuminated on the dash? I had a warning light and then it went while I was on the motorway, pulled over so no damage was done.
