Hi,
For the last year or so I have had a problem with my central locking.
This normally manifests itself when we have had sub-zero temperatures.
It results me in having to disarm the alarm system with the fob as normal and using the key blade in the fob to unlock the drivers door, which when manually unlocked via the door mounted lock tries to spring back to the lock position so I have to hold it over in the unlocked position to open the door, I can then use the car as normal and within 5 minutes or so the fault seems to rectify itself.
I thought that it was a freezing lock mechanism, but I happened to try to use my orthopedic seat controls and found that neither of the seats were working, as these are supplied by the PSE pump as is the air to operate the central locking I,m assuming that the PSE pump is at fault, what do you think? is my diagnosis correct?
If it is the pump I believe they need to be coded to my chassis, but if I sourced a good second hand item I believe they can be recoded as the coding in these pumps is hard locked, is this correct?
What would the symptons be if I was to drive the car without any coding being done?
The car was put on STAR by Olly when I had my 55 engine fitted, and there were no codes stored or recorded.
