Amg C63 507 coupe
Gents I am close to taking the plunge but believe will be selling 507 outside of dealership as only offered £43k against mine:- May 2014 with genuine 5,800 miles which is a joke when seeing on offer at £52-54k.

I have made contact with Motion8 dealers who advertise for these on Piston Heads, anybody had any dealings with them?

Just for interest have been offered 2.58% off list price, anybody know if this is good?

I would just keep the 507.....

^ +1

I agree with the others the 507 is the last of N/A engines and one of the best looking coupes imo, Have you driven the edition 1 ?

Have driven a C63S saloon and was impressed with interior and gearbox, I do love the 507 but want to move on but if resale figures are that low will stay old school.
I bought it thinking it was a future classic and not a money pit which I know the new one will be but will have to see on other offers tomorrow.

It,s a little too soon to find out if it's a future classic……. I also think it will be ,thats why i just bought one ! Just hang on to it another few years and I think a low mileage mint, 507 will fetch strong money ( a bit like the M3 CSL)…. Just a hunch, but hey , you will still have fun during ownership !!!! The new 4.0 L engines are technically wonderful, but have no 'heart'…..

That's a low ball offer - How many dealers did you try? I sold a Sept 2013 507 with 18k miles and I know what I got and it makes your offer seem poor.

I also sold for a c63s saloon and it's a superior car imo - the coupe will be better than the saloon so I can see your point of view. The 6.2 is a classic engine for sure and is probably slightly better than the new 4.0 but I don't regret changing when you take into account the whole car, which has moved on a lot.

Can't say on discount as haven't had a quote on the new coupe but I would not buy a car with only 2% discount - it's not enough - if that is really the going rate then you should wait, imo

I kept my 6.2 litre and bought a 4.0 litre to go with it.

As above - never get a 6.2 litre car again I think.

You should be looking for £4000 discount. I got that.

Terrible offer. I got 10% off my c63s quoted in June!

Looks like keeping 507 as do not like liberties being taken and apathy of other MB dealers does not bode well as obviously making too much money to bother offering any decent discount.
I agree got to make money but having a laugh at my expense is not going to make a sale.

Good decision , even if it is for the wrong reasons !! Lol !!
