Hi guys, had my 63 for a while now and decided next on my mod list is to lower it.

However, i'm not sure what to go for as i don't fancy spending big money on Kw etc (it will never go on track thus not needing them) But i also don't fancy buying any old cheap crap.

Whats the best options that people have experienced with?

Looking for around 30mm drop roughly.

Cheers

I had great success with Bilstein coil-overs on my S203, transformed the ride and handling for the better. Looked great also

BILSTEIN B14. - Bilstein

I have H&R springs on mine. Perfect drop, and drive quality is not compromised at all. I would highly recommend them.

Go for H&R coilovers. Better stability and spot on ride height.
Springs are great but they do stiffen up the ride slightly more. Ride becomes a tad bit harsher.

Best one is still KW DDC. Worth every single penny if you ask me.

I done a bit of research into this around a year ago when I nearly purchased a used set of kw’s for the c63. For the money BC coil overs are fantastic value. When you read the spec even on the cheaper road kit they do they’re impressive.

I was looking into h&R springs too..If you don't mind me asking, how much was they fitted? How much did they drop the car by aswell?

Thanks.

Best coilovers you can buy without spending silly money is ohlins, kw coilovers feel very cheap in comparison especially with the alley key that locks the adjuster ring, bc coilovers are ok for a track car but on a road car the adjuster rings rust up quickly and become pretty much impossible to adjust. You could buy coilover socks to help stop this happening. I really good brand of coil springs to go for would be eibach, they last a long time without cracking and would be good if you didnt want to spend coilover money

I have these. They are not bad at all.

I am experiencing a tiny bit of rub at the rear , but I am on OZ Ultraleggera and only when loaded up and over big undulations

Never realised Ohlins did coilovers for a C63?

Always thought they did, maybe they dont. I run them on my other car maybe thats what im thinking about

H&R springs for the C63 are only around £350-400 and depending on the garage you use for fitment it should be around £30-£40 per corner fitted I would say.

I got my H&R springs from Amazon for £200 delivered. Sometimes they surprise you with random car parts they sell off cheaply :D

Think I paid MSL about £150-£200 for fitment but the car was in for other work so I can't remember the exact breakdown in price.

Yes i ran them on my E92 and yes they are amazing. It doesn’t look like they do coilovers for a c63 unfortunately.

Thanks for the information guys.

Like I said the car will never go on track so wanted for street use, I think i'll go for H&R coilovers. Price seems spot on for a quality set up.
