I am looking to lower my standard C63. I have seen that CKS Performance offer springs that drop the car by 20mm. Is that the best route or are there better full suspension set ups which will give the drop without making the suspension too stiff? For me the standard suspension is ok, not too stiff for the road and I am not planning too many more track days as I have bought a 330ci so not looking for rock solid springing. Any guidance gratefully accepted.

Many guys from here very happy with Olly's h&r setups

H&R lowering springs if mainly road use. Less body roll and not much difference in comfort. Maybe a tad harder than P30 package standard springs.

H&R coilovers is good if track use as well. Price is good and reasonable.

If money no object, KW DDC set up is top notch. Plus you get to change settign via an app through wifi.

H&R set ups are ready available via Olly of Prestige Car Service Horndean (PCS)
My set of H&R lowering springs were fitted by PCS.

I also have a set of H&R springs. Picked up a last set on Amazon at a reasonable price.
Fitted @ MSL and ride is firmer, less roll. A little harsher on bumpy roads but nothing major.

I've got a set of H&R coilovers on my C63 that were fitted by Prestige last year and I've been very impressed by them. The car was lowered 30mm all round and its made such a difference to the stance, but it's not so low you struggle driving anywhere. The only time i've scraped underneath was getting on and off the ferry to Le Mans but it was only slightly.

The ride is excellent on the road its very compliant and similar to the original set up. My wife doesn't need a sports bra to be a passenger unlike some other cars ive had

I've been round Castle Combe and they were great there, very little body roll.....I was just limited by the tyres and my talent :D

Thanks for all the input guys, really helpful.

Hr springs are fantastic. Being running them for over a year on mine. Less body roll in the car and when the alignment has been set correctly I find that there is less wheel spin and squat from the back.
I paid under 200 including shipping from Germany brand new And fitted my self.

Give me a shout if I can help.

kW DDC transforms the car.....if your at MSL on Sunday I can show you what you need.

After having all sorts of cars over the years and trying different setups on cars take my advice and don't put springs on this car.

Springs are cheaper and will get you a little drop but they wont do that much for handling and are just putting extra stress on standard shockers.

The best route is coilovers especially for a car like this and you wanting to be spending the extra and get height and rebound adjustable. There is a few good companies I can recommend but its depends on your budget and any further requirements you might want.

The coilovers I am having built for mine are height & rebound adjustable. I can then adjust each corner inside the car or from my phone to the height I choose and also change the dampening too.
