Morning all i was just wondering if anyone ever gets this symptom sometimes when say at a round about or junction do you find if you pull away to quick you get like a vague kangaroo effect sometimes from the gearbox?.Once ya rolling fine i have noticed also if i have the middle of my foot on the peddle that when it happens more its like you have to from stand still just lightly feed the power then its fine but if you get a bit heavy with it that's when it happens ? other than that i think its a fine transmission

Do you find it in all settings or just S, S+ and M?

Ahh that's strange, in comfort it starts in second Gear which should smooth things out. In the other settings it starts in first which gets more response from bumping the pedal etc when pulling off.

Perhaps a gearbox reset to loose the adaptations ?

Mine isn't torque convertor smooth from pull away - it's a different way of transferring a lot of power to the road wheels.

Mine has had the gearbox values reset recently and it made little difference - however, the technician thought all was well.

I read that the combination of engine, MCT gearbox and LSD make for a less smooth low rev driving experience.

Do you have an LSD?

Ya maybe a reset might help don't get me wrong its not bad it could be I am still adapting to the box and my mind sometimes thinks its a regular transmission ? bloody good box though !!

I've had a few issues with the gearbox and there can be a jerkiness to it, especially when cold or when i drops into 1st gear (S / S+ / M) modes.

More often it seems to be if you hesitate a little e.g. on/off / on the power quickly.

I get really frustrated using M when I slow down for a Give Way and don't need to stop, I wish it would hold onto 2nd instead of changing into 1st which I think it should do if I stop only. Not a major gripe though.

I also managed to get the selector to switch off completely and it stayed in C mode. All the lights went off and I had to stop, switch off the ignition and wait for a bit before starting again and the lights came on. Overheating issue according to US forums.

I agree it's a good box, not amazing though, downshifts in M aren't great and I find S+ is only really good at 10/10 driving on a track rather than <9/10 on the road.

yes, sometimes can jerk. I find that if i have driven it and its not fully warmed up before i park it for an hour or so. When i come to restart it it can occasionally be jerky and stall. Sometimes happens on cold start as well. It has only happened very occasionally in my 14months ownership. Always been in C mode

Moff I think you have described it exactly if you hesitate on /off the power you get the jerk I drove this morning totally fine thanks fellas thought it was my lead foot lol
