C63 Meet

Sounds good why don't we say the end of Jan then gents. Gives everyone to get Xmas and the new year out of the way.

"Gives everyone a chance to get Xmas and the new year"

They are nice, but I may need a tow, mine is defective right now.

At least if you tow me, you can justify 2k/set tyres.

Better still fellas, you have damn fine driving cars, made for driving.

Arrange a mutually convienient weekend in the summer to head up to driving country (scotland) and I'll personally give you gents routes to drive on, which will show your cars at their true best.

You're going to come to the meet and visit the big smoke Steve???

If you make that effort it would be very impressive and I also like the idea of driving on some of those Scottish roads (theres gotta be something good up there :dk::D)

Think I'll have to attend this one and put a few faces to names...see who you all are!

I was down your way last weekend for a GTG on the other forum in Gaydon (nr Banbury) and then onto MB world.

If I was not tied up for the next few weekends would pop down, make a night of it for sure. I will gatecrash your meets one day!!!!

As a "car" guy I love driving and the meets so all good.

However, you owe yourself a holiday of driving up here, you will not be dissappointed with the tarmac and scenery on offer.

You see my threads, you know it makes sense ;)

It isn't about just the torque, but also when it comes into play. I drove cdi compared, the C63 delivers a lot more torque with a lot less rpm, think it is 80% of 600nm at 2000 rpm.

Agree Kamal sir !

80% of 600 @ 2000rpm is huge on tap torque ... is that why the rear tyres dont last long no matter how gently we drive?

Now that is a mystery! Some say we are getting wheel spin even if the ESP lights aren't flashing. Would be nice if the tyres last a bit longer. :D

Im up for Bluewater gents.....And for the Rashman, its more like he wont want to salt up that beautiful 63. Come on Rash get that beast out and come and play!

Benjy, my good man!
How the devil are you?!

Salt...*sigh*... yes, it is a concern for me. :(

But I'll see how the weather is towards the time... You may well see a CLK63 joining you after all!

I should have my carbon fibre rear diffuser on by then too.

We'll see how the weather is in the new year mate and then take it from there. :thumb:

Excellent, does this mean we can leave the organising of this to Rash?

lol

Simon!.... you cheeky bugger!

lol

Hope you are well too!

Leave the organising to me?

heehee... at this time of year, I don't know if that would be a good idea...

It would be a case of..."wait....ok, the weather's looking good"!....."wait...weather's looking poor"!...."wait.....now it's brightening up"...."wait.... there's a moody looking cloud"!...... :doh::crazy:

LOL :D

I think I will play the part as bystander on this one, to make the whole thing less stressful for everyone else. :D

The salt is a concern for me too. :(
At this time of year, the conditions must be exact... clear skies and damp roads.. so there is no spray while driving and any salt particles stay bonded to the damp roads surfaces and don't get blown around the car when driving.

I'll certainly organise more meets when the weather has cheered up.

I would also be keen to attend my first meet in my new car!! :)
