yes, another thread regarding this...Had my car for 14 months now and engine is defo bedding in. Previously long distance drive i did was at 2 months up from Lake District to Aberdeen and got 286miles with no range left on the display and big red petrol pump sign on my dash. ANyway had to go to Middlesbrough for my once every 5 years visit on Sunday so had an easy drive down via edinburgh and coldstream. Mpg much improved...fuelled up at 295miles. Still had 10 ltrs left in the tank. Edinburgh to Coldstream road is great, very little traffic on a sunday and when i needed to pass the power was there!

Yes the Coldstream road is fun and I'll bet the economy improvement will have added to the pleasure.

mmm c63 mpg in comfort im getting at the moment 23...when it school hols and the mums aren't around in mornings 26 but im driving normal/ but usually 19 when giving it some ive only got 4000mls on engine so far so we will see how things go when nicely settled in

In relative terms, that's excellent! Got 17 MPG from my E60 M5, and a range of about 250 miles (70 litre tank)

I've averaged 18.2mpg in 8000 miles.

Best was a 250 mile 26.5mpg, worst was 9.2mpg over 24 spirited miles ;-)

Most of the time I get between 19-21mpg, but as soon as I start to use the loud peddle for some back road fun it averages at 15mpg.

for the sheer size of that engine and power to be fair its good mpg but come on
lets face it if you drive c63 etc petrol really shouldn't be problem

I thought there was something defective with my engine for a while, in london I get about 10mpg, motorways I can just just just about crack 20mpg.

But recently in france being stuck going at about 50-60mph for a while I noticed an indicated 27mpg. I was so surprised I nearly drove into a hedge. Ruined the rest of the 100 miles I had to drive though because I really wanted to try keeping it at that level! (and failed!)
