Hi,

What are peoples thoughts on remapping a c63?

Anyone who has had this done can you recommend a reputable business and also report your personal results when remapped.

Thanks

Hello, best to have a good search on the forum as this subject has been covered extensively.

Most go for a euro charged remap with excellent results. As it opens up the throttle fully.

I and others have used MSL but other sponsors are available. I can't see your location as I'm on the mobile app currently.

Hi Buddy,

Im based in Manchester and have had a good look at the MSL reviews. I may also have a look at the Euro Charged remap that sounds great!

Give Acid from MSL a call 07765444447. Acid will talk you through the options and find what suits you. They supply euro charged maps and the best chicken in the Midlands :)

massive help buddy I will give him a call today, thanks for all your help!

are the performance gains that good?!?

I mean its a beast as it is!

Also an MSL fan here, they've done some bits on mine and I'm also near Manchester, perhaps a bit further North than you but still only 100 miles door to door.

Oh yes, not so much the horsepower which can potentially be raised to around 520, but the way it's smoothed out across the rev range.

Once you've mapped it you'll realise the potential these engines have. Then the real mods start: Exhaust, starting with simple cat/resonator delete, ultimately moving onto headers and a valved iPE or similar system. then the Weistec supercharger, transmission upgrades etc.

Incidentally, if you haven't got a limited slip diff, I'd be looking for this as one of the first mods to help put the power down.

Thanks Buddy, by the sounds of things the c63 can be taken further than I thought!

Its got the additional performance pack so shouldn't have an issue putting the power down.

lets see how far I can take it, were about are you based buddy?

PP cars have the throttle increased more than std cars. However a map will open them fully. Last C63 with a PP I saw mapped made 530.

A lot further. :bannana: Acid managed just over 800bhp out of his own car, which is still for sale I think?

PP does not necessarily mean LSD. Depends on the year and spec.

Near Ramsbottom. You'll still hear mine on a cold start though. :D :D

800bhp :eek::eek: that's a tyre shredder!

its 100% got the lsd fella that was a huge selling point for me in the c63 as without it it struggles even standard :D

so glad I chose the c63 over an m3 though, genuinely no competition in terms of power!

+1 for MSL if you are in Manchester. You won't do any better than leave your car in Acid's hands.
Have you seen his car?:D

Mines a Eurocharged map too, I had a Quaife fitted, the secondary cats gutted and the remap. The car is a different animal now to drive.

Trouble is, it doesn't stop there. I've just ordered (from Eurocharged) a Fi flapped exhaust, much like the iPE system but IMO a nicer, more Italian supercar sound with valves open, and more quiet than stock with valves closed, can't wait to have it fitted.

that sounds quality!

by the sounds of things I need a Eurocharged map!

what did the map set you back if you don't mind me asking?

From memory, the map was around the £1000 mark, maybe a bit less, my total bill was for around £2500 for all of my work.

Wallace Performance didn't have time to get my car on their dyno so I'm not sure what it's making now but the car feels so much better to drive.

I'll hopefully have it on the dyno, once the new exhaust and 200 cell primary cats are fitted, together with the carbon intake I ordered last month.

Eurocharged maps are the Best for the AMGs been working with them in the US for 8 years !!!!
