hi everyone im looking into getting a c63 amg coupe and wondered what the servicing schedules and costs are any help appreciated

The car requires a service every 12.5k miles or twelve months.

Mines just back from B2 service (large one).
£960 but I saved £180 by supplying my own oil thanks The Don

I took out the two year service plan when I bought my 2013 c63, its £45 per month, seems like the most cost effective way to service these cars.

Does it actually work out any cheaper compared with haggling and taking your own oil?

Service Plan usually covers also any "Additional Items" that fall within the service period and are due at the time of service.

This might include - depending on mileage and age - any or all of the following:

ATF change
Air Filter, Fuel Filter
Brake Fluid change
Spark Plug change

So it all depends on what you manage to 'squeeze' into the Service Plan.

As far as I am aware only Additional Items are covered, but not any service items that are replaced purely on condition or wear but not at a set mileage or number of years - e.g. brake discs and pads, exhaust, battery, suspension components, etc.

I am paying £42 on my new E63, and I am happy with that as I know where I am and should have no unexpected big bills.

Good question, i doubt there would be a great difference.

I was told my next service (3 year) is quite costly as it includes a transmission oil change, so I guessed around £7/800, the four year service will be a B service so roughly the same. The 2 year plan works out at just under £1100 so I'm hoping it saves me money, even if it works out roughly the same at least it won't hurt as much come service time.

I have been quoted £829.46 for my third service on my c63 which is an A service plus lsd oil change, air filters and transmission oil.

I have a three year service plan and it's costing me £540 each for my three services.

Had this when I had the three year service.

Was quoted £850 approx included transmission service as well.
Managed to save myself £300 on the service. By suppling all my own parts. My local was trying to charge me £17 a litre I managed to get 10 litre for £45 and similar for the transmission oil.

If you go through eBay and email Mercedes Benz of Newcastle and tell them what service you want and include vin and reg you can save yourself quite a bit of money.

Was the service carried out at a main dealer?

Yes got the work done by Mercedes of Huddersfield. But bought everything parts wise from Newcastle

I read about some garages been pricey so that's why started shopping around and it's alarming at how much of a premium they put on just oil and other parts.

All in I paid £199.73 for service A and transmission service parts.

Sorry my mistake just checked the receipt for the parts engine oil cost me £28.34 +vat for 10 litre.
Transmission oil was £68.85 +vat for 10 litre.
As opposed to £144 just for engine oil what my local was going to charge me.

Thanks for that, looks like my guesstimate wasn't far out. So with a service plan each service is costing £540, whether its a two or three year plan. So it does look like we'll save a few hundred per service, or at least the same as supplying own oil etc. Still too much for what they actually do but I can live with it.
My V6S F-Type was £199 for its one year service, now that was music to my ears :D

Is transmission and spark plugs not at 4 years old?

I'm pretty new to MB so no expert, the salesman asked what would need doing for its next service (mines a 2013) as was told transmission oil/fluid would be changed at 3 years old, it may be bull, he won't be the first salesman to get stuff wrong.

On my 2012 c63 the transmission is once at 31k miles or 3 years

Plugs due at 46,500 miles or every 4 years.

Coolant and fuel filter due every 155k miles or 15 years.

That sounds right, the salesman did say it was a one time only transmission oil change at 3 years as all the crap should appear in the first 3 years, after that it should be maintenance free.
