Will try Harry
On your topic of Golf's, a decent Stage 2 with exhaust's etc will hit around 380bhp and 400lb torque, 0-62 under 5sec but not much more.
60-130mph would be interesting to find out, may go out trawling for one![]()
Right here is my view coming from a 365bhp Audi S3 (Manual) when my mate had a 2011 C63 amg (Non pp so 460bhp)
0-60 the S3 won
rolling to 70mph they were even
anything over the C63 left it for dead
We tried it quite a few times and my old S3 did pretty well but id like to see it against a remapped C63 as the car is completely different.
People totally underestimate the S3/Golf R (if I listed cars that it pulled away from I think you would be pretty surprised), its 4wd and with just stage 1 remap takes it to just over 300bhp, Few simple mods like mine had Revo stage 2+ remap, Miltek turbo back exhaust, Evoms induction kit, Autotek fuel pump, Uprated clutch and you've got over 360bhp and a lot of torque. I thought mine was fast but I went in a car with the same mods but a dsg and it was quick (0-60 3.2 secs)
Behave , the Vws don't stand a chance!I think we need to invite the VW boys and the C63 to a day at Santa pod!
hey don,t under estimate the 4 pot boosters
Here is me dialing the car in running 11.8 at 123 mph making just shy of 400 bhp and 300 ft/lbs, power to weight counts for a lot
I may bring it to POD and show how 1000kgs and 400 bhp can cut 1.69 60 foot and still have enough mid range torque to keep higher power cars behind lol

New golf R can do the 0-62 sprint in 5.2 secs. but I dare say within 2 minutes of buying it you can get 310 bhp from the likes of Revo.
I never said a modded golf could beat any c63 , I was merely saying that in real world on the road from 50/60 onwards, a well modded golf/Audi etc is not that far behind.
There is something else on the pipeline that got post up on the RS246 forum a few weeks ago, will have a look.
Honda MK2 CRX 1990![]()
Honda B18 (1800cc) block 81mm bore
Forged CP Pistons 9:5:1 CR and Eagle H beam rods
Integra ITR (type R) cams, valve and springs.
RC 750cc Injectors (changing to ID 1000cc)
Walbro 255 lph in tank fuel pump
Tubular equal length RAN horn exhaust manifold, Tial 44mm waste gate
Garrett GT30 Hybrid turbo
turbo back full 3 inch down pipe and system
Uprated drive shafts and hubs
fully rebuilt gearbox with steel caged bearings and Quaife ATB
Uprated brakes front and rear
Hondata ECU fully programmable unit
Low boost 7 psi (waste gate pressure) makes 315 bhp
medium boost 13.7 psi 413 bhp
High boost will be 20/22 psi when I install the new ID 1000cc injectors and should break 500+ bhp![]()
Impressive stuff but nothing I ain't seen before.
I think this thread should be sectioned up, standard vs standard and modded vs modded.
This way you would get a fair hack.
However I think that car above with its current setup would cause havoc for even a SC 63 with the power to weight.
