Hi All,

I picked up a 2009 C63 the other day and noticed the original build sheet states option 788 - 19" Multi Spoke, however my car now has a 18" staggered set.

Does anyone have an image of the wheels linked to option 788?
Are they known as 'Turbine' alloys?

TIA

It would have been these.

Also, those set of alloys when I had PPP cars are prone to cracking so you might be better off with the 18's.

I cracked a full set of 19's and had too shell out more ££ for a new genuine set.

I don't know the answer to your question, but just to say that the Datacard codes and the descriptions are stored in two different places... the codes are always correct, but the descriptions are sometimes wrong.

The Datacard code for my alloys (not AMG) has not changed throughout my ownership of the W204, however for about a year in 2018 it was showing the wrong description, and recently it went back to the correct description... so the code might be right while the description might be wrong.

(But of course it is also possible that someone changed the original wheels at some point in the car's history)

Thanks for all the info!
I do like the look of those wheels and would not have expected them to crack so easily.

I guess 18s give a softer ride and cheaper on the tyre budget too.

Same problem here. With those wheels on a C63 is driving on digestive biscuits.

When I bought mine I specifically looked for cars without the brittle 19s. Granted they look awesome but are weak as anything and dont ride as nice as the 18s on a daily car. I'd stick with 18s.

My 204 has the 18" from the 205 C63

Just to add another viewpoint, I have the 19" multi spoke alloys and have had zero issues with cracking over my 7 years of ownership.

As above for me too.

You can buy 19” replicas from CMWheels that are better quality than OEM

Do you have a rough idea of the size and ET?

I know the width is 8j and 9j but ET’s always confuse me.

Or info on an ideal setup to help get the power down better e.g. 9.5j with 265 tyres etc.

I had the 19s above for a number of years. They didn't loose pressure, but the two rears had to be welded due to cracking, when refurbed.

No big deal and probably good for another 8 years or more!

I know they’re definitely wider than OEM, the specs will be on the website so I’m not 100% sure

Mine aren’t from CM but these are 8.5F and 9.5R, I’m running 245F, 255R. Will be moving up to 265R when next in need of new tyres

Not the best pics as I’ve had to crop them. Rears stick out nicely, fronts even though they’re wider, I still think look lost in the arches. Not a fan of the front arches as they are, but I may install some 12mm spacers to the front end

Have you got a pic of the full car with the wheels on? I'm thinking of going from my BiTurbo to a W204 and have a spare set of these wheels I wouldn't mind putting on a 204

Pic is there in his post

Have you realised the 6.3 is a far better engine?

Ah I meant a pic of the whole car from a few angles, I can only see the front wheel unless I'm doing something wrong.

Have I realised the 6.3 is a far better engine? No; I've realised I need to use the money held in my C63 BiTurbo to buy a C63 6.2 and some nondescript SUV for the wife as she's scared to hell driving the BiTurbo with its stage 2 modification ;)

Keep your 63, tell her easy on the right pedal.

I’ve taken some money out of savings to pay for the SUV instead 🤣
