Hi folks,

I am needing a new set of front brake pads for a W205 C63S.
I have had a look at Euro Car Parts and they are listing the ATE ones only for the front and Brembo for the rear.
What other options are out there or are the ATE ones decent enough.

Thanks

Good shout, I spoke to them and they are ordered. £284 delivered.

Always worth giving Steve there a shout, you may be pleasantly surprised at some OEM prices.
He is very helpful and can check against your VIN/REG to make sure you get the correct part first time which wont always be the case with some of the motor factors.

Why get ordinary brake pads ?
The car is used for predominantly family purposes and won't see a track, I shouldn't need any more than that for occassional spirited drives out and to be honest I found the existing brakes to be spot on so far

Is it that much worse?
I always ran DS2500 on the RS4 and they were just as bad.
I have the car booked in for ceramic coating including the wheels so will see how it goes after that

Yeah I've had dusty DS2500 , DS Performance are ment to be low dust.

I haven't put up with OE pads on a personal car since the late 90's .

I've settled for EBC Redstuff ( not for track ) , on two cars , shortly to be on the Merc .

They're ECE R90 which means OE when cold , get some heat into them and they're above OE braking .
They contain some ceramic and no metal so no hot metal filings won't be imbedding in your alloys paint .

Incredibly low dust .

Other ceramic pads but non performance , Textar epad & ATE Ceramic .

Have a look at my post about the Akebono pads I fitted. Not easy to source in the UK it seems but if you hate brake dust you will LOVE these.
