I have a problem on my W124 230CE manual.
The car starts fine, idles fine, and drives fine.
However when I am slowing down and depress the clutch to change gears e.g. coming to a round about or even when I come to a stop at a junction and depress the clutch, the revs go very low to about 500rpm sometimes less to such an extent that the engine 'shudders'.
The revs go down but don't stay there, just touch say 500rpm and then shoots straight back up to normal idle speed. When the revs drop and come back up, obviously the oil pressure does exactly the same.
If I am driving at a constant speed and then depress the clutch to change gear or even put it in neutral, the revs are fine.
Its like say if I am at 2000rpm and press the clutch it goes down to 1000 no problem. If I am at 1000 and the depress the clutch it goes down even further.
Can anyone solve this problem?
Thanks, Luke
