Can anyone recommend a multiplexer

For a 'home put together diagnostic system' I have the laptop and have been looking at this

Carsoft Multiplexer 7.4 Diagnostic Tool for MB - Tmart.com

to complete the system.

Has anyone got any recommendations?

dont waste your money... get a star system, even cheap chinese copies on Ebay are ok.

Why is the Carsoft version a waste of money?

What won't the Carsoft version do that the Star system does?

The cheapest Star multiplexer I can see on fleabay is £279 where the Carsoft multiplexer is £58

The multiplex near us closed a while back. Used to be OK though.
