can I damage my box if I....

There are number of SuperTurbos in Finland developing 400 HP+ like this one. The broken differential was replaced with another one, minor incidents do happen. 800 Nm torque is a killer if not handled properly.

After publishing the target figures of Mauri with 24v engine the other projects have been revised and a lot is happening in the garages during this winter. We will see the results in Dyno and track next summer, target is 10.x seconds@quartermile, not bad for an old smoking diesel.

These cars are daily drivers, having done ~300.000 miles before conversion and still doing 25.000 miles / year, not dedicated racers. The durability of stock MB diesel engine is a miracle, since most of the SuperTurbo engines are still unopened and internals unmodified.

Very cool. That should silence any critics.

Are all the driveline components standard and are final drive ratios altered to give higher speed?

Has anyone tried this yet with any electronically controlled injector pumps?

How do these Guys get insurance???

Autoboxes are reinforced to withstand the enormous torque, same box is used in S600. In manual setup the slipping clutches are a problem. For every problem there is a solution, like the clutch from BMW M5. Some sense should be applied when driving a car with 800 Nm torque.

No need to change drive ratios since the max. RPM is higher than standard top speed being 200++ km/h. Cars would fly with different ratio.

The cars are inspected every year with moderate dynochart. No effect in insurance.

Out of sheer curiosity what would happen if you left it in neutral revved it hard and whacked it into "drive"

After the answer to this one myself if anyone has tried. not quite brave enough to try it myself. Yet
