I've been looking at a website which indicates the theoretical top speed of my car and it seems as though it could hit 168mph, when eventually we are allowed back to Germany.

My car hits an indicated 160mph/258kmh at 4,650rpm, with the red line at 6,000rpm, so there is capacity.

Any ideas on how this can be done?

On the M113k engine, a remap can raise the limiter to 186mph.
I would suggest this would do the same on your M113 engine.

Hi
Removing the 156 mph speed limiter function is generally removed by a remap, if you don't want a remap then it can be raised to 186 by DAS with Developer mode quite simply. I did it to my CLS55 before it was totally removed by a remap.

My limiter was deleted during a remap on my 113k. Ran to 170mph (GPS) in Germany and still accelerating before finding traffic.
Phil took it to 183 in 4th on the dyno. When I asked why he didn't go to 5th he said my tyres were only rated to 186.

Thanks, what's DAS?
Diagnosis Assistance System aka part of the Star Disgnosis/Xentry system that MB dealers and good specialists etc will have access to.

They can change settings to remove the original 155mph (250km/h) limiter.

Thanks guys. I spoke with my indy today, as my car is at their premises and he was adamant that it could only be done via a remap. However, I told him that you guys had it done via DAS to which he has access, so he said that he would look into it for me.
