Can these tyre prices be beaten?

Exactly my experience, their cs is the square root of bugger all. Such a waste of time and absolutely no chance of speaking to anyone. They say they will reply to your message in 24hrs and they do, just. It's not actually relevant to the question either.
I ended up issuing a chargeback through the credit card company.
Never again.

Both you and rf065 have had bad experiences with Tyreleader.
Mine have been the opposite, but its good that both good and bad dealings are out in the open so prospective tyre buyers can make up their own minds.

Yes I would say you could substitute ‘Oponeo’ for much of those posts and it would match my own experiences. TyreLeader in my experience were fine and I would use them again.

But then again, look at the views on places like Kwik-Fit or even MB main dealers on these forums, with people posting polar opposite stories of their own experiences.

BTW, I’ve never had any trouble with Kwik-Fit, or come to think of it any MB dealer over the years...:)

I ordered from them (tyreleader) because they had asymm 2 which I wanted to match the rest. But they sent asymm 3 and kept sending them despite asymm 3 being cheaper on their price list. Bascially they didn't have the 2s regardless of what their price list said. But they wouldn't admit it, or the information never reached their ticket centre.
Reading the reviews if the tyres are readily available and a new design then you're ok and they will be cheap.
If they are in the least bit odd, old, different they can't cope and frankly don't want to.
But in this day and age their cs should be much, much better. The time they took to resolve the issue was completely unnecessary and for that reason I won't spend more money with them.

Unfortunately the mark of how good a company is, is how they deal with their mistakes, on that basis Tyreleader must be the worst company in the world.
The fact that they compound the misery, and make everything as awkward for you as they can when you are the innocent party just underlines the comtempt they have for their customers.
Other companies excell when they make mistakes to limit any inconvenience to their customers, Tyreleader adopt an opposite strategy!

Well since ordering from camskill I’ve been kept informed since purchase and have a tracking number from DPD.

Unfortunately they are coming from abroad as they have no stock at the UK branch.

I did however ask the question if the tyres are old stock and they said no so we shall see.

I would say if you’re desperate for tyres then go for blackcircles or something UK only based but for the price I’m saving and with me not being in a rush its no biggie.

Yeah I always hear Camskill a lot when mentioning tyres and not much negativity.

Bought my last set for my previous car from blackcircles as I took advantage of the buy now pay 6 month later and I think just the rears were £300 in total.

This time I’m taking advantage of the cheaper site (camskill) and just buying the lot outright as I’m saving about £85 with them being more expensive on blackcircles.

I always shop around and rarely have a local tyre fitter come close in price compared to online.

Just goes to show how the tyre size of the same brand/type can make a difference as to where is the best value supplier, Goodyear a3’s in your tyre size at Camskill are £16 cheaper than say Black circles, but my tyre size was £26 more expensive with Camskill than Black circles!
I can’t say about the buy now pay later deals as I’ve always bought outright, and much like you as good as some of our local fitters are near me, they just can’t beat the ‘shop around’ prices of the interwebsiteworld either.

tried camskills, tyreleader, 123tyres, oponeo and blackcircles for my SL tyres

Goodyear F1 A3: 255/35 19 and 285/30 19

best deal was blackcircles at £575 delivered, £6 less than the closest, camskill

pleasantly surprised at the relatively low cost

Ordered my new Dunlop’s from Asda , picked a local fitter from the local list supplied, all tyres date stamped the same.
Beat all the others on price .

Well my tyres were delivered Friday via DPD so not too long to wait considering I ordered them on the Sunday and they came from their overseas branch.

The 235/35/19 were dated mid 2018 and the 255s were end of 2018 so not bad at all.

There was no visible defects and had them fitted on the Saturday.

First time experience with Camskill and happy with it all.

Again if you’re in a rush then best to pay extra and use a local fitter.

If blackcircles were only more expensive by about £10-20 I would probably just go for them as fitting can be as little as £10.
