Many of these vehicles derive their traction capability from their portal axle system which gives them much greater ground clearance. Unfortunately if you do manage to "belly them up" where the weight of the vehicle rests on the surface they loose traction like any other AWD vehicle and further wheel rotation simply digs em in deeper instead of providing forward or rearward motion. They can often be recovered by towing by another vehicle on solid ground or by winch
