Canon scanner and Quicktime

Hi,

Just purchased Canon LIDe60 scanner but it won't operate if QuickTime is installed (doesn't have to be running). QuickTime seems to mess with USB(2) function.
Canon technical support was useless (go see ?MicroSoft as our S/ware is good )

Thus I have a choice of either iPOD (with Qtime) or scanner (w/out Qtime) or keep installing and uninstalling QTime .


Is there a fix?

Driver Install

I have a CANON 1660 on usb2 and quicktime running with no problems. Have you tried the canaon website for any upgraded drivers for your scanner. The usa site is a good one for downloads/help. Is your driver installed in the right place. Have a look in control panel-system- hardware to check out your usb configuration. your printer and driver should be listed under imaging devices in XP
