Appologies if this has been asked before or if it is in the wrong section.

In view of our last winter freezing temperatures and the fact my battery is on its last legs or should be:( Can some manufactures of battery stand freezing and still work, gel or standard distilled water. My car is kept outside on the drive so obviously takes the full freeze.

You should have no problems with any battery in normal use. Leave a car standing in freezing conditions for weeks on end won't help, but even then a quick recharge and a good run should suffice with a basically healthy battery. The last time we had freezing conditions for weeks on end was 1963.

Personally, I favour Bosch Silver, which I buy from Costco at very keen prices (the most recent being an S5004 for £48.28).
