We have an early 2013 Eclass Convertible with Comand (not sure which version of Comand)
My phone (Nokia Lumia 925, Windows 8.1 on EE) connects ok on bluetooth for regular phone use.
I tried to link it for data use but Comand it says phone does not support mobile data?
I ended up on a screen which asks me to manually enter:-
Access point:
User ID:
Password:
DNS address:
Automatic
DNS 1:
DNS 2:
Where do I find this information and if entered will it work?

What data are you trying to access?

If you are linked via bluetooth then data should work?

Those settings in your post are for GPRS, and normally only needed to be set on really old phones before 3G existed.

Below is a link to settings that are service provider specific, so choose Vodafone if your service provider is Vodafone etc.
GPRS Connectivity - Information and UK Settings

No settings in that link for EE as far as I could see.

As far as I can make out, I'm trying to tether my phone to use my data allowance via comand.

I am linked by bluetooth for calls & probably texts (but haven't tested texts yet). When trying to access the interweb though I get the message that my phone doesn't support mobile data.

Fill in what you can from here and see if it works

EE APN settings: Where to find them - The EE Community

The username and password in my phone shows

username: eesecure
password: secure

Although the link says leave blank. if in doubt, go into your phone's settings and look for your data settings and then the Access Point in use (APN). Copy from there

Not all mobile contracts include tethering, it might be worth you checking your account first?

Just been to the link you posted and I get this:-
On Windows 8

Swipe Right to Left to show Applications List - that brings up my app list
Select Mobile Network - not in the app list
Ensure data connection is on - that's in settings  But it is on
Go back to the main Applications List and select Access Point - not in apps list
If EE is showing within the list, tap on it to make it active - there isn't a list
If it isn't showing on the list select Add - there is no add as I can't find that page

Please double check that the settings are correct and then click on the Tick on the bottom of the screen to Save and Restart your phone

Why does this need to be difficult:dk::wallbash::wallbash:

OK I have a Lumia 435 here and did the following:-

Swipe right
Settings
Mobile and Sim

Try the 'view internet APN', should bring up what you need

On my "mobile +sim" page I have:-
active network - ee
data connection - on
data roaming options - roam
highest connection speed - 4g
sim settings - network selection - automatic

nothing about view internet apn:dk:

on a internet sharing page in the phone settings i have the option to select on or off
then the option to share over wifi or bluetooth
the default for sharing is off. if turned on it states that it will turn off automatically if not used for a few minutes.
with wifi selected i can see a broadcast name of NOKIA Lumia 925_**** and a password of 8 digits.
if i select sharing over bluetooth there is then a tick box to allow bluetooth devices to switch sharing from wifi to bluetooth

Select internet sharing over bluetooth (BT PAN is what the car expects) and tick the "allow bluetooth devices..." box. Works with my NTG5 head unit.
