Car knocks

5L out and 9L in is ringing bells for me.
I'm not familiar with the sump on this but would expect oil capacity to be 8.5L.
If that's true the oil level is now high.

Worse though is you were possibly 3.5L low before. There has been no suggestion of the oil light warning of that though.
And if true where did the oil go to be so low, but I would expect engine light and limp mode.

A video of the knocking might give a clue.
My earlier wild guess was turbo actuator.

Did it do this before you changed oil ?

what dose the electronic oil checker say on dash say ? im assuming your car has one

I also find it odd 5 lts out 9 in

If was me don't think I would risk driving car ill I was sure it was not overfilled with oil

No electronic engine oil check on this car, only dip stick. Dip stick not showing excess oil.

Sorry my earlier post was a editing fu.
I meant to say that if the turbo actuator was hiccupping like this then the light and limp would be expected.

Unclear-
did you change the actuator because the engine light came up?
Or is the engine light associated to this event?

Actuator was changed due to a different issue few months ago, this just happened 2 days ago, when I changed the engine oil and filter. when I drive the car and put off the foot from the gas, sound come from the back of the car, that was happening from last 4 to 5 months.

What with turbo issues, air suspension light on, oil level problems and knocking from the rear of car you are having a time!
Suggest getting the car on STAR at an experienced indie to see what's going on.
Or scrap it and cut your losses....

Should oill be check with cold or hot engine?

On Diesel engines, ideally the oil level should be half-way between min and max when the engine is fully hot.

On petrol I would say up to a smidgen under the max mark when fully hot.

(Diesel engines should not be overfilled or you risk facing the engine self-destruct)...

Also, a bit of a longshot, but where did you buy the oil from - an MB dealer? I.e., check that the container looks new and the label is of good quality - some say that MB-branded oil sold on eBay can be counterfeit.

it reads as if it is a transmission issue, not an engine issue

Depending on how the car was positioned to drain the oil, something like a prop shaft may have been dislodged or damaged or a brake disc shield bent into contact.

I suggest taking it to a garage and getting it up on some ramps to check it over

Oil was taken off with the electric oil suck machine, it was not done manually.

Oil bought from ebay, Mercedes Nottingham shop.

OP says the oil was vacuumed out, no one went under the car...as far as we know.

mm - an iffy bottle ? Assume it was sealed...

I meant it's defo engine oil.... not tranny.
