15 is an ignition feed - usually a black wire. Might be worth testing that.

Hi @Ted thanks for your reply.15 is an ignition feed - usually a black wire. Might be worth testing that.
Are you able to direct me as to where the relay/terminal/fuses can be found? And should i disconnect battery first? thanksI would use a testlight (available from Halfords) to see if that terminal was live with ignition. If not, then test all fuses.
If no joy with that, that’s when I would take it to a Mercedes indy or auto electrician.
Good look - hope you get it sorted
Terry@ Wayne gates harrow maybe near to uAny Mercedes specialist recommendations in and around north west london NW2, could also be anywhere in London if theyre good? Could also do anywhere near LU4.
Thanks
Hello, I have been having the same issue for some time now…it’s very intermittent sometimes my car starts for weeks fine and then all of a sudden won’t start for a couple of days with the same issue! Please can you inform me of how you fixed yours?!Are you able to direct me as to where the relay/terminal/fuses can be found? And should i disconnect battery first? thanks
Hi mate , I have the exact same problem, would love to hear what your outcome was.Hi All
I have a 2016 W213 Mercedes E Class E220d.
Couple weeks ago car would not start (but electrics work) and I got the following two messages on the dash. After a couple minutes it started.
1. Parking brake - see owners manual (red light)
2. Start engine - see owners manual (yellow light)
Yestersay I got the same two messages but this time the car wouldnt start for the whole day. Again electrics do work i.e. lights radio etc. I disconnected the battery and it started. However when I tried again 2 mins later the issue came back and persisted. I bought a new battery and installed it and it started fine but when i tried it again today it does not start even with the new battery which makes me think ive ruled out that battery is not the issue.
Does anyone have any ideas what it may be or what else I could try? I assume its not the Alternator since the new battery is not working either. Could it be linked to it being really cold recently?
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Mate. It turned out to be a thin wire that was damaged and needed replacing. Issue was it took many labour hours to track down and find. The wire itself was pennies but the work involved was quite a bit in my case. Hope that helps you out and hope you manage to get it fixed.Hi mate , I have the exact same problem, would love to hear what your outcome was.
