Hello all,

Quite pleased i found and joined this forum.

I am looking to get a very comprehensive warranty cover for my CLK 280 Sport 2007 as its done 87000 miles.

My friend had an engine failure on his so i am worried.

If you can recommend or share your warranty experience that would be really helpful.

I had a look at Warranty direct who quoted me £700.

Im very new to this so any assistance would be really helpful. I know the CLK 2007 models had some issues on the V6 engine which were very costly and im just trying to get the best and right warranty for overall peace of mind in case i do need to use it.

Thanks.

Warranty Direct will most likely keep contacting you with a better offer. Don't take the first price offered to you. Also, have a look at the small print and see if the cover is what you expect.

A lot of people, myself included, put away a set sum to cover repairs, and if it's not needed, its a win win situation.

Welcome to the forum BTW:thumb:

Warranties are a waste of money, as they always look for a reason to not pay out.

So your warranty might cost you £700, but if it refuses to pay out, then you still have to find the cash for repairs.

Most people recommend to save some money each month.

I had WD on my W203. Paid out every time no quibbles. Over the three years I claimed a lot more than I paid in premiums.

Did not pay out for my jag every thing seemed to be wear and tear so they did not have to pay out worst thing I ever done
