CD Changer

Hi

I have a Mercedes CLK 280 209 convertible 2008 model with Command with no CD Changer.

Am I able to install a CD Changer. I have seen this one on ebay and wondered if it would fit, if not, can anyone advise what I should be looking for and part number would be appreciated.

The answer is "yes, and no". - I'm pretty sure you can buy and install the CDC, but you need COMAND reprogrammed to look for it.

(Or at least that's how I understood it.)

Make sure you buy the right CD changer as a pre-facelift unit will not be compatible with your car. Fitting kits are available here

Many thanks for your replies. However as I thought it was going to be a matter of plug and play I am now leaning towards a Denison Gateway 500.

I have seen this on ebay, what are your thoughts?

Hi, looked at this and it does not fit, it states that the top measurement is 260mm and mine is 255mm.

I suspect it will fit.

As for keeping COMAND, you are not alone...even given COMAND's limited functionality.

I made the change and I will not look back.
