Celtic Tuning

Is that not the reason why people remap cars as they all have a generic map loaded on them at ecu manufacture? Remap by just uploading a file to the ECU and you are just loading a more optimal map but its still generic as other cars will have the same map.

The only way to map for precise results is on a rolling road or out on the road with a driver and mapper with laptop connected to ECU so map changes can be made on the move this way you will truly optimise the parameters of the map and ultimately the performance of the car. I acknowledge this is not needed on the majority of cars but it is better than a static map and is how the motorsport teams map ecu's

Agreed

In most cases "generic" maps are enough

For truly optimised then not.

But truly optimised isn't really needed by most.

Can someone just give a quick reply on remapping and warranty etc. it all sounds good with impressive improvements, however just a bit wary as car is only a few months old. Also on a PCP until I finally purchase in a few years time.
This also requires dealership servicing as part of PCP and to maintain warranty.

A remapped car usually voids the warranty, there are exclusions by certain mapping products but general rule of thumb is remap and warranty is void and its easy to tell even if you put it back to the standard map, not something you would want to do on a PCP

Well its all done, what a difference, although the graph is not accurate as the auto kept trying to change down even in dyno mode

But the driving experience is quite obvious

Yes.

I used them for my A class. Outstanding results.

They do not need a rolling road. They have the maps already and can download/install them for you at your home/office/workplace.

Which A class was that?

I am looking to get our A class remapped and had a quote from them. Most companies reckon I should get a 30-40bhp and 60-70Nm increase, but they are quoting 76bhp and 107Nm increase. In my request for the quote I told them it was a CVT and asked if ok with this box. The reply told me I will get a prolonged clutch life

Mine was an A180 CDI. Its the black one on their testimonials page;
A180 review

Mine was a CVT too. Didnt have any adverse issues after the tuning. Car was more economical too.

Thanks for reply. Did you have a stage 1 or 2 remap? If stage 2 did it feel it had a 70% increase in bhp and 58% increase in torque? Did you ever have it checked on a rolling road to confirm gains?
What sort of difference did it make to mpg?

Yep I've used them , had my w209 clk 2.7 cdi done in Feb. What a difference it makes too ! Awesome now. Love the car even more now !

Mine was actually an A160, not sure where the A180 bit came from. sorry.

But I had 82BHP and they took it to 125Bhp. It totally transformed the car. I didn't measure it myself. I just felt it!

Try them, you wont be disappointed. I think they offer a money back guarantee if you are not happy. Check this though.

So what option did you go for Economy or Performance (Stage1)

The figures of the dyno look like what most quote, not the 290bhp claimed. Unless this was the Eco map claiming 269bhp?
