Hi all
Hope someone can help me:confused:
Ive got a 2002 mk1 vito dualiner and a problem with the central locking that keeps blowing a fuse
a 30 amp fuse on the small fuse panel at the passenger foot well
have stripped all the doors down and tailgate to see if it was a knackered servo motor and thought i had narrowed it down to the driver door but to no avail help please as i miss my one button locking :(

popps

Try disconnecting all electrical connections to the central locking including the relay and see if it still blows.

30A is some fuse for the locking, are you sure there is nothing else on it....like a 3 bar electric fire maybe...

nope that was the one fitted and in the manual
but a 3 bar electric fire might be usefull this morning its freezzing up here

AHHHHHHHHHH stripped all doors and tailgate down
unplugged all motors replaced fuse
plugged them in one by one and then it worked
reassembled them still working
came in for cup of tea
went out to get the hose out to wash it and the fuse has blown again

anyone know of a good auto electrician or merc indep in fife ??????

popps (pulling hair out ))

Disconnect the locks and leave it for a day to see if the fault is wiring or relay related, then reconnect them one at a time over a day or two.

It could be the tailgate wiring shorting at the hinge or a lock motor.

Also try wiggling the wiring around to see if it makes the fuse blow or stops it.

cheers dieselman will give it a go but soooo
frustrating
:)
popps
