hi there, does anyone know how to pair my key to the central locking as it starts the car ok but wont lock or open the doors from the fob ive put new batteries in,the locking works fine from inside and when setting off activates its self too.

You don't say what year your car is...it makes a difference.

Point the remote fob a few mile meters from the sensor in the door handle and see what happens when you lock/unlock.

Ok
So if you point the key close to the door handle it works, but from a distance it doesn't?

Your key shouldn't need synch, it should work if it's programmed

When you use the remote it uses RF signal (Radio Frequency) which is picked up by the antenna in the rear glass, I think it’s the two top lines in the glass, the car radio also pick up the signal there too.

Its possible a fuse has blown which is associated with the car alarm and central locking, if the alarm fuse has blown then it may have blown because the alarm siren is faulty.

Is this a recent fault?

As above, you will find a blown fuse in the rear sam.
