I need some help at short notice please.
I'm in France and my headrest DVD players have stopped working. I'm sure it's power related, maybe a loose wire as they've been intermittent on/off for a little while. Anyway we're setting off home on Saturday morning and I don't fancy 800 miles with a 1 year old and a 6 year old asking are we there yet every 1/2 hour.
I've located an auto electrician, recommended by a local Merc Dealer, but want to offer as much assistance as possible. It looks like both units power supply comes together under the drivers seat, and is fused (glass type looks okay), then a cable runs into the drivers side of the centre console next to the seat. I presume this hooks into the cigar lighter (which is powered), therefore how do I access the reverse of the 12v socket in the centre console to check the connection?
Help would be much appreciated as I don't want to have a local auto electrician spending mucho Euro in finding the retaining screws.
Thanks.
Brian
