wheres the cheapest place to get these from seen some at nealry 100 pounds very exspencive for a cabin filters :wallbash:

I think the part number for your cabin air filter is 2118300818. I put that part through parts.com and it comes up as $77. I'm unsure if they will ship to Lancashire though. At least you can search on ebay using the part number!

Its a W210. But these are the active carbon filters, not the pollen filters.

cabin filters

That does sound expensive I`m sure in this case that decent aftermarket would suffice (perhaps Mann & Hummel or such) and be far more resonable ,also carbon is not essential,it is just supposed to extract odours etc better, plain "paper" or felt would do IMHO.
Cheers.......Paul

yes these are the active carbon filters and cant seem to fined them at a good price cant see why they are so exspencive to buy

The Mann ones are stocked by ECP - they're £77 (more than the Merc branded version on Ebay)!

ECP also have Cortico and Airmatic pattern parts for the charcoal filter at about £20.

As far as I can see, Ebay is cheapest for genuine. ECP for pattern.

glad my car doesn't have one...

Got my 210 ones from the states to my door for £50 the pair.

Dont forget the pair of std pollen filters behind the glovebox these are cheap about £13 the pair.

oh where abouts is the pollen filters then found the others under the glove box didt no there where pollen filters too where and how do i get to them then

See here http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/interior/74150-w210-pollen-lter-replacement-made-easy.html basically behind the glove box which is held in with 6 screws then you have to pull out bloody hard to get the box out.

Ones behind the glove box are by far the cheapest to try first.

Here on good old e bay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mercedes-W210...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item4146965840

Prices quoted seem good value. I use them in my tractors whilst spraying, there are two in each machine and they need replacing twice a year @ £300 for each filter :(

However you without doubt do not need them. They are used for extracting chemicals and strong odour, obviously not needed whilst driving a car. Overkill in my opinion. Just put aircon on recirc if you experience odours coming in

thanks lynall for the diaogram found the 2 dust filters didt no they where there in the first place the blower fans are a lot better and the old filters well wot can i say black as the ace of spades so glad you sent the pic and while glove box was out fixed the shocker on the lid
