Chrome sweet Chrome

Finally got chance to debadge the new E, and while I was removing some chrome - I thought I'd try adding a bit - strips along the bottom of the side windows - trying to make my lowly SE look a bit more like an Avantgarde. Pretty sure I'm the first person in the world to accessorise their new W212 with a part from Lidl !!

hmmmm - not sure if I quite like that on the black car, but it does appear to lower the windowline which has always looked a bit high on W212 to me.

Yeah, I normally agree that black is best left black, but I've struggled a bit with the side view of this car since I bought it, and find it lacks a bit of definition. The black one I'd seen at the dealers (and liked) was a Sport and had the embelishments, but I've not been as happy with the vanilla SE. Plus of course the 16" wheels don't help.

I'll see how I get on with them, I can always remove them if I get too embarrased
