Sorry, have to disagree here. The 10,000 mile 300C I had briefly was a far more creaky, rattly beast than my then 55,000 mile S211, which was totally rattle free.
As regards the CLS, it's too early for me to tell, but as far as interior quality is concerned, it feels way, way ahead of the Chrysler and from the test drive I had of the latest 300C at Motor Expo this year, although looking much better than before, didn't feel like it was built any better.
I don't have a downer on Chrysler - I think (especially in the US) they're good value for money - but you pay your money and take your choice....
