(RE: thread http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=56088&page=2)

I was looking at fitting birds eye maple a la Tudu, but will not work on pre-facelift C class because of different shaped buttons/stereo.
Dealer could not really help.

But, on looking through my original C-coupe sales brochure (alongside some horrid black & diarrhoea brown designo seats) there are designo cinnamora anthracite wood panels...
The dealer can source these, so I may be able to 'get wood' after all! :bannana:

Does anyone have cinnamora anthracite- please would you post a pic if poss so I can decide on ordering, as it is difficult to see in the brochure?

Many thanks, Matt

The DESIGNO wood trim is cinnamora the anthracite refers to other trim.

Thanks, but I'm not quite sure about this- the brochure does say 'cinnamora anthracite', ie no 'with', and indeed our B class came with 'poplar anthracite' which is a black/burnt version of the wood trim.

No, not current, but still available, acc to stealer
Was mentioned in original pre-facelift brochure. No designo options mentioned at all in facelift brochure that I have

This is my plan if no one has pics, although the smallest part is approx £60

found it at last in W203 New Zealand Brochure. It appears almost purple!

There is a designo wood for A and B class which is Cinnamora and very dark. It almost looks like a dark Birds-eye maple.

Seb, one of the members here, has it in his B-class. Very nice.

wow, great researching, thanks Grober :)

Not as dark as I thought- not as nice as BEM or anthracite poplar. What do others think about it- it would be replacing my alloy(silver with black flecked) trim ??

Sounds good from your description.
Does Seb have a picture on the forum of this in his car? He did not come up on member search for 'seb'?
Thanks, Miro

Problems..

Dealer having difficulties- cinnamora anthracite(designo option W52 for C-class) is available- they have found it using EPC, with my chassis no & taking off filters, but this throws up a picture of the gearstick trim panel which has buttons on either side of the gearstick(I beleive these were for aux heater & other options). Both dealer & M/Keynes central MB parts cannot tell me if it will have the cutouts or not(I do not want them).

Is there any way of finding out the correct part number??
Also part no for roller blind for coin holder/cupholder, please?

Many thanks again

Are you sure they are cutouts? Perhaps the buttons sit on the surface requiring just a small hole to be made underneath for the wire?

The different trim panels seem to be numbered as 250 or 260 depending on whether there are cut outs or not? Still not sure if this means you can get it in W52 but I don't see why not? At the end of the day its down to the dealer of course. http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.as...16.668&CT=F&cat=69V&SID=68&SGR=255&SGN=07#911
you seem to need the "250" 2036808239 as opposed to the "260" 2036808339
but see note 911
ES2 AND CODE:
I NO.8K42 I DESIGNO POPLAR BROWN I W68
I NO.9C91 I ANTHRACITE I W52
do any numbers ring a bell you got from the dealer?

The picture shows an elongated oval on both sides of the gearstick plus above it a corresponding switch insert.
I am not sure, but parts are not either & will not take it back if wrong!

Thanks, Grober; you posted whilst I was thinking about it & I had not seen your post.
I had a faxed picture with the 260 number on it & no part nos. The picture I have did not have the 250 panel on it!
Looks like 250 is the one!

Thanks again :)
