C63 AMG Coupe - Press Release

Palmball's next car for sure...

Ha ha....I've just picked up my Maserati and you're talking about my next car!

I think I prefer the look of the 4 door one to be honest but I'll reserve judgement until I see it for real. The seats also look decidedly less hardcore than the ones in the saloon for some reason.

In any case, when I looked out the window for the first time this morning and saw what was on my drive, there aren't many cars that'll give me more pleasure in the visual stakes!

agreed simon

Mr palmball please get ready to place you order:D

oh and welcome back;)

I'm sure when the Mazzer gets dirty Palmball will have one of them on order :)

Don't like the outside myself, looks to cut off aka CLC but the insides very nice.

I see they let a woman drive it for the shoot & she managed to get her red lipstick all over the seats:rolleyes::D

Why is the coupe more expensive than the saloon? Less for more? Or just marketing?

I like this - but prefer the saloon....

I might be interested in Palmballs Mazzer
when he trades it in for the new 63:eek:

thats sorted then ...

I've noticed the demo car in the pics has the same wheels as mine , does that mean my car is ahead of its time...a bit like Martin Peters

Agree with some of the other posts.. I prefere the 4 door saloon...

Saloon looks better but thats damn nice. Being 3dr it should sell for less than the saloon. With a stiffer body shell it should prove more "taut" than the saloon car.

I'd have one.

Seen a new 204 interior today, its a huge jump over the last 204. Nice as a 212. Really nice car.

It is nice but torn between that and the C63 saloon. I am confused about dumping the CLK then introducing a C class coupe. Aren't they the same thing?

This amg version is the mutts nuts for performance, BUT, they have cut corners on this.

a mercedes coupe should not have locked in rear windows. This is what the first clk had, and was a step back wards in my opinion.

Is this c class coupe and e class coupe on the same chassis?

im not a fan of the interior direction, but agreed, the interior is a huge step forward, but not very pleasing to the eye.

eg. the bmw interiors (eg z4 for example) flows so nicely, the mercedes interiors have punctuations all over it!

the c class coupe is a bit bland.. kinda just looks like a jacket potatoe - could be tasty, but is otherwise seriously bland!

my dealer was telling me that it will be about £1500 dearer than the saloon which i think is mad.

I agree with almost all you've written (but think Merc interiors usually flow quite well). From the driver's seat, the interior looks cluttered and doesn't have the "zen" space the outgoing saloon currently has.

I wouldn't buy one (I have a W203 Sports Coupe as well). The C63 facelift saloon is a much better bet, is quite chuckable in its current form, and you get more space.

Still cannot abide by the lights/grille combination as it stands, but I can see it's more subtle. Wonder what it'd look like in dark colours?

The seating looks better. Like the E coupe. Those seats and the driving position are so much better than the normal E class saloon estate. The 212 has appalling seating, you want the coupe seats. These are the best I've ever had, supportive, comfortable, nice and low good adjustments.

This alone makes this coupe a very compelling purchase.

What an amazing car!
