Hi All
I have a 2011 E250 Diesel which was mainly used on motorways prior to Covid, now that i'm been home working its just been used once a week to go shopping, unfortunately I did not think about the DPF with everything else going on and now I've got the check engine light on.
In a nutshell the engine light came on 3 weeks ago, I suspected it was to do with DPF so went on a long motorway run, the next time I drove the car the light had gone, it drove fine for 2 weeks (no check engine light), all of a sudden yesterdays journey I get the issue again, confusing thing is this journey involved a half an hour motorway trek so do not understand why the light has come on during a long journey.
I called breakdown cover, their computer didnt have the code in the database but I've taken pictures, it looks like it was showing 2 codes, both P2463:
Any ideas what to do next, can these codes clear by themselves? I'm thinking maybe I should get some premium fuel and go on a long motorway drive..
Advice appreciated
