Anyone looked at the new one? I can get a really good px against the c63 as they are similarly priced?

They look more aggressive than the A45 a bit short on power but meant to handle very well.

Haven't had a sniff of one so really can't comment other than to say it would my choice of Hot Hatch over everything else. In black, debadged and sans boot spoiler would do just dandy.

Saw a picture of one this week, not exactly a stealth machine, and will probably take off over 100mph.

Is this the one with the ridiculous rear spoiler that looks like Thunderbird 2? Or has a different one came out since

Worth bearing in mind they were having serious supply issues at the end of last year, people with orders were being led a merry dance and messed around left, right and centre.

I have a couple of acquaintances who were due to receive theirs in November, only to be told at the 11th hour they were on hold, and that they'd have them "in time for the beginning of March". Clearly unhappy about this, they were effectively told that "we don't care if you cancel, because we'll just sell them to someone else". One took his wallet in the direction of Munich, the other ended up buying an ex-demo car.

Saw one on the road the other day and my eyes are still hurting from the experience , not my cup of tea I am afraid.

From a company that has some serious technical know how they have made a howler with the aesthetics , IMHO of course.

The last one was far prettier if very understated something that certainly cant be said about the new one.

That's a lot of power to put through the front wheels. Our old VXR was as twitchy as anything with the torque steer, and that only had 240 bhp, not the 300+ of the Honda.

How would that compare to the price of a Skyline in the UK...?

Well call me old fashioned! I was parked next to a black one the other day. I mean completely black, including the wheels and it looked great. The car looks well planted with wheels sitting nicely to edge of the arches and the rear wing looks more subtle than the bolt on addition that you get with a C63 BS.

I spoke to the owner and he loves it. Nice guy, who was passionate about his car and happy that I took the time to complement it/him.

I saw a red one yesterday parked up - exactly like in the link above.

Far too much stuff on it and just looks like you are trying too hard.

I'm sure it is amusing to drive though.

Never been keen on the Type R as it's always needed it's neck ringing to get the best out it, new focus looks worth a look for the price and 4wd....? I think the C450 is going to be a good compromise when that arrives.

They finally slapped a turbo to the VTEC engine, having realised the completion had moved the game on.

I have had quite a few Hondas and screaming the engine to make quick progress never makes for a relaxed driving. I don't like the 9th gen model as I think they look ugly, reason why the wife won't upgrade the civic from her 8th gen when the time comes. Hopefully they'll have the 10th gen in place by then, fingers crossed its not ugly!!!!

They look a bit OTT imo.......
