CL 500's stolen to order

Thinking of getting one of these. V8 itch and all that.

Phone Priviledge for a quote and got quoted about 40% more than for my current E320, along with an extra £150 excess.

When I queried the jump I was told it is because a lot of these cars are getting craned onto flatbeds to disappear abroad. Wouldn't have thought there were even that many about!

The chap said it was a very regular claim.

Any ideas or just insurance co bullsh!t to justify high premium?
