Interesting, I'm pretty sure the R230 doesn't have type-approval for towing anything. It costs the manufacturers a fair bit to get the certification, so they typically don't bother with models that are unlikely to be used for towing.

My R129 (pre type-approval) has a braked trailer towing limit of 1500 kg
