Hi All,

I know this has been covered a number of times before, but I'm still going to post this anyway !

Customer service in this day and age is virtually non existent in most places I've been to and is a dying art in most organisations...but this is certainly NOT the case at MSL they really know their stuff and were fantastic with me and what I wanted from my CL !!:thumb:

Acid and the team did a fabulous job on the car, I had the resonators deleted and watching Imy and Imran go about their work like true craftsmen was great to see. Imy even took me out in the beach bug to get chicken - that was a real scream.

Got a pulley and remap done too and it's now pushing over 612nm of torque !?!?...the drive home was insane, like I'd bought a new car - nearly filled my pants on a couple of occasions... it's that fast:D

The food was awesome, (on the house!) together with a great bunch of guys meant for a fantastic experience - keep up the good work !

All the best

Jitzz

Don't suppose you've got a picture of the exhaust. I'm thinking about this for my CL.

MikeAMG, have a chat with Olly @ PCS, I'm sure he could do exactly that for you.

Matt

Hi MikeAMG,

Sorry I don't have a close up picture, they simply replaced the resonators with a straight through pipe...great fabrication work and I thoroughly recommend it

The exhaust note is fabulous and really brings out the V8 roar

Hey Jitzz

Haven't seen you for about a year. Sounds like the car is how it should be, fast and loud :thumb:

Stay safe and I'm in Nottingham tomorrow morning so maybe meet up?

Stay safe

Chris

It is pretty quick

We're always meeting up in Notts or Northampton so will give you a shout for the next one :thumb:

Been wondering about getting my 600TT done ........ but it already has 800nm of torque.

Did you mean ft-lbs? Mine only pushes out 590 as standard.

Stuart

Hi ChrisA

Sounds like a plan give me a shout when you're next in the neighborhood

You're right Swotty I do mean ft-lbs...not nm, apologies for the confusion

No probs - that explains it!

Have fun!

Does removing the resonators make a difference in terms of power gain or is it purely noise?

I have Eisenmann back boxes on mine and it is probably about as loud as I want to go but if there is a decent enough gain I might get them deleted.

I'm looking at the Kleemann headers which are on eBay from CKS @ £1375 give ~25hp gain and doubt they'd add any extra racket... Seems a lot for not much gain though...

Give Olly of PCS a call for the Kleemann Headers much better than CKS.

He is an approved Kleemann supplier. :thumb:

Thanks for the tip Peter. I know CKS aren't all that highly regarded in terms of installations but I thought as a supplier they'd be alright but will give PCS a phone to ask about them.

Plan for mine is,
S/C pulley, re-map and LSD. But if they'd make a decent difference without making things louder the headers could be thrown on there too.

I'd hope MSL could do all the work but would give them a phone before buying the headers to make sure.

I'm sure Olly will look after you and Acid certainly will. I think the headers will make a difference. Justin (Justin1966) had his done on his 55 estate and said it had.

You will love the Quaife LSD, especially coupled with the S/C and Map. My CL is a joy to drive, especially after replacing the Accumulators as well.

A word of warning. CKS headers even when advertised as Kleeman are not. They are cheap copies.
Seen this first hand. Stay well clear.

What are the Accumulators? Sorry the potential daft question!

Not a daft question Marty. I hadn't heard of them until one of our clever members ( Alexanderfoti ) described the same symptoms on his CL that I had on mine.

He was getting a harsh ride when going over bumps potholes etc. He put it down to the Accumulators which are and I quote from -IAN

" The Accumulator holds oil required for the hydrologic system. It has a header pressure on top to keep it pressurised. It allows the system to maintain a constant pressure"

I had also read on the MBWorld Forum that they don't last forever and should be part of your maintenance plan. I must say I feel the ABC is running the way it should.

I replaced all 4 on mine, though not at the same time, and it was a new car after that. They really do make a difference to the ABC suspension.

The Accumulators where £ 443.25 with a 10% discount ex VAT and four hours labour

Total cost £ 643.85 ex VAT
