Just bought a new cla200 not covered many miles yet. On a whole are the 1.6 engines reliable and tuneable if needed.

It would appear your engine is already fairly highly tuned. Mercedes solution to more reliable power was to increase capacity by a longer stroke crank taking the ccs up to 2 litre.

Good reading , still think Mercedes could have squeezed a bit more power out when you look at other 1.6 turbo engines. Just look at fiestas or the Peugeot 308 gti which has 275bhp now that's some tuning
