Hi Oleks just an update, everything sorted car back on the road.
Replaced flywheel with a Luk make rather than Mercedes as the Mercedes are prone to losing the splines.
As for the clutch, Mercedes couldn’t get me one. They said non available in uk or Germany! Another fella even said they discontinued. And so we ended up buying a used gearbox with clutch with only 59k on the clock with same part number AND same gearbox code…and just putting our original TCU into it.
Managed to get gearbox out without removing subframe but getting it back in was fun ( NOT) ha.
So to anyone reading this with these codes with a 724 gearbox and thinking it’s down to the TCU

Then chances are it’s going to be your flywheel at least and possibly your clutch also.
