Hi,

Pretty new to the forum although i've owned a Mercedes for over 3 years.

My question is when to buy a new CLA45??

My local dealership (Teesside), has explained the fact that their is going to be a power upgrade but couldn't confirm the date one could be ordered.

Another question - Is this just a power upgrade or a facelift? I've noticed a few kicking around with the updated Navi screen.

Cheers, Dan.

The new Garmin system arrived 6 months ago. The higher power output oned are arriving October. There will be a minor facelift from summer next year, where they will replace the xenon lights with LED lights

Hi

I got my CLA 45 at the start of august. In early 2015 they upgraded several other things to standard - recaro seats (not leather though but I don't think the upgrade is worth the money), screen is a little bigger with thinner frame and the updated steering wheel too. Tech modifications gave better economy too (combined 42.2 up around 10%).

The (mild) upgrade to the engine drops economy around 10%+ so keep this in mind too, I could do the same thing to mine with just a remap tbh.

Good buy im lovin mine so far, oh and definitely get the optional performance exhaust.

Good luck

Ps I don't think the exterior is changing at all. Unlike the a45 which is getting a bit of front re-design. Nothing jaw dropping, though.

Claimed economy isn't changing at all in the facelift, or with the current minor model change.

Thanks for the info guys.

My main concern was the fact i would be buying a car that's essentially out of date which of course happens all the time but was wondering if the price of the car would decline rapidly.

Or maybe i could use this as leverage when sorting a deal?

With it being so close to when it is expected to be released i'm planning on test driving a demo when available to compare.

Will let you know!

Try and get a prereg of the current model and save a chunk of money so you are not taking the hit
