CLC
Hi everyone
Just joined after buying my partner a slightly tired CLC 2009 1.8 sport
I need to try and sort a few cosmetic things apparently...............
First job is one of the interior door handles is badly scratched and I haven't got the
funds or will to fit another one but I've seen a company that sell leather "sleeves" that will cover the scratches
Problem is they don't sell a bespoke cover for a CLC so does anyone know if it's a model specific part or if it shares the door pull with another model ie clk etc
Many thanks for looking
Great Club !

The CLC is a weird model, it's got the front end of a 204 and the backend-ish of a 203 coupe.

Looking at pictures online of the CLC interior, it looks roughly like a merge of the 203 C-Class and 204 C-Class, and looking at the door cards, they don't look like a 204 C-Class door card, but the chromed pull looks similar, if not the same, so it could be pretty difficult to say. I guess if it's similar enough a leather sleeve might work depending on how tight a fit it is?

The door pull on my 204 C-Class is squarer than this.

CLC, does yours look like this?

This is what my 204 C-Class door card looks like, much bulkier and manly :p (ignore arrows, just a pic on the net)

Whereas looking at this 203 C-Class door card:

It looks more like what I'm seeing for the CLC, so maybe you'd want to buy the leather slips for the 203 C-Class model which is vastly more numerous than the CLC.

Ah I’m confused what’s handle he means. Hmm

Leather sleeves to cover scratches sounds more like the 'grab handle' rather than the chrome door opening lever to me.

But could have made a wrong assumption.

Hopefully OP will come back and clarify.

Hi
Thanks for all the replies they are much appreciated
I don't really want to take the door card off and £60 + is too expensive for the handle as I've spent
my (small) budget on the car and there are so many other things that need sorting
Just as a flavour
There is no 20 cd autochanger in the glovebox (presumed was broken and then removed)
The centre aluminium look consol is marked around the automatic gearshift although I've seen a greenish
wood look on some which I really like (ash?)
The rear bumper centre chrome strip is broken
The front grill badge is the same
The alloys need a refurb
In my defence the car was pretty cheap(in the short term anyway)

Hi

Did you manage to find a suitable fix for the grab handles? My recently purchased clc has the same issue with badly marked handles... looking for a cheap-ish fix.

I’m wondering if they can be rubbed down or something, though not really looked yet.

So far, I’ve sorted new sun visors, marked center console, boot struts and now just waiting on a leather repair kit for a small hole in a seat! Also considering a new rear 3rd brake light as one set of 3 leds are out... though they are £70 minimum!

But great little car for the money, and my wife loves it as her new run around!
