clk 200 gearbox

[CLK 200]

I have a clk 200 kompressor w209 manual 6 speed. When its cold and and i try to go into 1st gear, its very difficult, Going from 1st to other gears whilst moving is fine. But when i stop and try to go into1st, its very hard to get into gear. i just had the gearbox oild drained a re filled but the problem is still there. when the car warms up or is driven for a while it is fien to get into 1st, so im confused.
any suggestions>?

Assuming its not the clutch dragging, it might be a 1st gear syncro worn, but I would first try using a thinner oil and make sure the level isnt overfilled......

probably not relevant however i had a range rover were gears were stiff till it was hot so i drained gear oil and put engine oil in and it was fine.

Drain the gearbox and replace the oil with Redline MTL. This will cure a baulky first to second shift on these boxes when cold.
