Hi all,
Am thinking of getting a second hand set of amg alloys, the seller has emailed me the following data of the wheels

front: 245/45/R17 91
rear: 255/45/R17 91

front: 8.0 x 17 ET 44
rear: 8.5 x 17 ET 44

I have attaced a pic of the alloys,
just wanted some advice if they will fit my 208 as these numbers are completely different to those on my car at the moment, and are they the correct size. Any advice will be much appreciated.

Also will i need new bolts with these alloys?

Note: i have standard factory fitted alloys on my car.

Kjay Thanks for the post, according to the link you are quite right that 44 offset apears to be a bit much.

Anyone else have any views?

Dont quite undertand why there are so many diffrent sizes of wheels all very confusing :wallbash:

Because the alloys you have shown aren't from a w208 , they are either from a w209 or r230 ... probably w209 ...

The fronts are too wide i think .... coupled with the wrong offset , i wouldn't buy them .

I have 17 inch AMG's on my w208 and the tyres size and offset are :-

Fronts :- 225/45/17 offset 37

Rears :- 245/40/17 offset 30

Thanks Howard,

The more i look into these the worse they seem. i think I will give them a miss unless somone can covince me otherwise. :thumb:

As a CLK owner I agree with the above offsets are wrong and fronts too wide, you would definitely upset the handling and balance of the car with those even if they didn't catch the suspension.

I went for the staggered set up but on 18" rims, made the ride harder but really transformed the handling.

No , the 320's came with 16's in that style ...

The 430's came with 17's ...

Near Hampton Court / Twickenham / Kingston.
