Hi guys,

I need help if someone can advise. I have just bought CLK 280 cabriolet 2008 and the specs for tyres size front 225/40/17 and Rear 245/40/17 but the seller have changed the Rear tyres with size 235/45/17. Does it affect the performance of the car? or does it affect the car in any ways or is ok. Please let me know so I change them back to 245/40/17

Regards,

Hani:confused:

Front tyres should be 225/45/17

Lots of tyre size calculators on web. Try here. Your current tyres are just within recommended limits although it would be better IMHO to go back to the MB recommended size.

Sorry Front tyres are 225/45/17 but what about Rear 235/45/17 is ok?

I doubt if you will notice any significant difference but, if it were me, I would be looking to change to the correct size tyre as soon as possible.....however, I do not think it would be a problem to let the current tyres wear down as normal before replacement....

As per the change tyre calculator it seams that it falls within the recommended value. it should be between -/+ 2.5% difference and mine comes out to 2.39% which is ok. thanks for your help you made my day. next tyre change i will fput the recommended ones. Hani

I don't think it will affect the car in any way. There should be no problem.
