Possibly a numptie question so be gentle.
2001 Merc Clk 320: On friday I was about 2 miles into my journey and accelerated quite hard to get past a tractor. The Engine Management Light came on fairly instantly although the car felt fine.
I pulled over, switched the car off, left it a few mins, but the light was still on. I drove another 5 miles to work, parked the car for 4 hrs then home but the light was still on. Didn't drive the car yesterday but when I went in it today the light didn't come on. 
The display says No Fault so, 20 miles of driving today and still no sign of a Light. Car is running like a dream.
Any suggestions? I assume some Fault will be stored on the computer bit is it anything to be overly paranoid about or should I just see if it happens again?
