My neighbours CLK 350 W209 with the M272 engine had a CEL yesterday with a loss of power. I did the neighbourly thing and scanned with IcarsoftMB2.
There were many faults, mainly related to low voltage which I put down to when the battery was low and I used a portable starter to start it. I cleared all these and rescanned.
The CEL remains off but the following codes reappeared:
P2004 Tumble flap intake manifold stuck in actuated position - This would appear to be a broken intake manifold air lever, which I've checked online
P0355 Ignition coil of cylinder 5 open circuit
P0305 Misfiring of cylinder 5
P0352 Control line to the Ignition coil of cylinder 2 open circuit / ignition coil primary current is too high.
Am I correct in thinking the lever for the intake manifold requires replacement with 2 ignition coils for cylinders 2 & 5? Perhaps the wiring to the coils are faulty?
Or could one fault be causing the other?
Thanks
