This is a one off chance to own probably the only one of its kind in the U.K.

Not exactly a common car, but I know of at least one more - which I had the pleasure of a couple of weeks ago.

Still looks too much like a kitted CLK to a novice.
Spending this kind of money, you want a car to shout, I am different.
How much to de-limit mercs these days?
and why does the convertible have twin pipes while the hardtop has quads?
The 65 in the sl is it a supercharged v12 or is it bi-turbo like the s65? just been on the merc site and it is saying the sl is supercharged.
has anyone got any experience of these monsters?

I think its discretion is part of the appeal. Only those in the know (and those you overtake) are aware of how fast it is.

The SL55 AMG is a supercharged V8, and...

...the SL600 & SL65 AMG are both twin-turbocharged V12.

sl 600, is that not normally aspirated?. If it isnt what is the difference betwen that and the sl65?

I was annoyed when i bought the CLK55 about the twin pipes on the soft top, however its got something to do with the limited space at the rear of the car and not being to fit another set on the right side. I'm presuming the tyre well would take up most of the space.

They still make a fab sound though, trust me
